Video Poker Coach

Below you will discover the Video Poker School - Video Poker Coach, a tool which will help you to learn which cards to hold and which ones to discard when you get dealt a particular hand. Currently the Coach is teaching Jacks or Better, Deuces Wild, and Double Bonus video poker games. If you have a game request just contact us and we will try and get it added for you.

Class is in session!! Please take your seat and get your #2 pencils out, the test will begin momentarily.

First, you will need to select a video poker game from the "Select Machine" drop down menu above.

Now get ready to learn. Press the "Deal" button and you will be dealt a hand. Decide which cards you would like to hold and click on the corresponding "Hold" buttons beneath those cards. After you have completed that step - press the Deal button again and you will be dealt new cards to go with the ones you chose to hold to create you final hand.

After each hand the coach will inform you if you did not make the proper play by stating which cards should have been held. The coach will also let you know how much you have won or lost after each hand and keep a running total of your current credits. If the coach does not give you any advice it means you made the optimal play - well done!

You can also input a custom hand to learn how to play it, just input your hand into the text box above in the following format: AD JD 8C 3H QS and then click the "Input Hand" button.

Be careful not to double click the deal button, because if you accidentally do that, the coach may think you wish to hold none of the initial cards and he will give you five new ones. Doing so might also send numerous spitwads at the chalkboard causing the testing system to malfunction.
